“Spiritual powers” are not inherently mysterious or remote. If hearing the term makes us imagine unrealistic things, it is because we do not truly understand its spiritual meaning.
In spiritual practice, we should not attach ourselves to supernatural powers and thereby nourish increasingly subtle craving. Those with right understanding see that the more we practice, the more lovable, inclusive, and empathetic we become. That is the true value and purpose of the soul's evolution. The clearer our understanding, the more clearly we see that the spiritual path is always connected to everyday life.
Attachment to supernatural powers has never been right for a spiritual practitioner's path.
