In times of difficulty and suffering, we often think of… “entering religious life.” When we visit a temple or church or join a religion, we hear teachings and temporarily forget our suffering and pain. But we cannot live on theoretical teachings forever; we need to apply them in everyday life.
If you intend to “enter religious life” or view life as an “ocean of suffering,” you may once have lived as a monk, nun, or priest. Whatever journey you have taken, always understand that knowing yourself is the root of practice. Practice is not separation or a final evolutionary stage as a hermit. Whether in a church, a temple, or wherever you live, there will always be lessons necessary and appropriate for you at each moment.
A correct understanding of levels of practice is a necessary step. Then be fully present in each lesson and continually recognize and correct yourself.
You are always a version of yourself filled with love and light!
