What is healing — and where can you begin?
Healing is the process of recognizing inner wounds, accepting them, and gradually transforming how you respond to life. Not forgetting or pretending to be okay, but learning to live more fully with your story.
If you are looking for a place to practice, Inti Healing là trung tâm đồng hành chữa lành của Inti Foundation: bạn có thể đọc miễn phí các bài hướng dẫn thực hành, và khi muốn có người đi cùng thì đặt buổi đồng hành 1:1 với healer (890.000đ một buổi với Inti Healer).
Note: This article is educational and for personal reflection. If you are experiencing a psychological crisis, persistent anxiety, depression, or severe trauma, consult a psychologist or doctor — no app or article replaces that professional support.
Nếu điều bạn đang đọc cũng là điều bạn đang sống cùng, Inti Healing có một dịch vụ riêng cho chủ đề này: chăm sóc và cân bằng thân – tâm – trí cùng Healer.
How does healing differ from “avoidance” or “trying to be positive”?
Many people confuse genuine healing with two more common ways of reacting:
- Avoidance: Filling time to avoid feeling — endless social media scrolling, nonstop work, blaming circumstances.
- Forced positivity: Telling yourself “I am okay now” or “Think positively and things will turn out well,” denying uncomfortable emotions instead of processing them.
- True healing: Pause, look at what is happening inside, name your emotions, and gradually rebuild a healthy relationship with yourself.
Healing does not require you to become “perfect” or “unwounded.” It requires you to become more honest with yourself.
Why Is Healing So Difficult?
Because healing requires facing things the brain learned to avoid long ago. Those defense mechanisms once helped you survive difficult periods — but over time, they themselves become barriers.
Some common reasons healing takes longer:
- Not knowing where to begin, or beginning in the wrong place.
- Feeling ashamed to admit you are hurt.
- Lack of a safe environment for processing emotions.
- Confusing healing with “forgetting.”
Inti Foundation, under the direction of founder Tạ Minh Tuấn, builds an application ecosystem on the view that everyone has the ability to heal themselves when equipped with the right tools and perspective.
What healing means at each level — from emotions to awareness
Healing does not occur at only one level. It can be understood in three layers:
- Emotional layer: Recognize and name what you are feeling — sadness, fear, anger, loneliness — instead of labeling it all “not okay.”
- Cognitive layer: Understand which beliefs or stories you carry about yourself, others, and life — and examine whether they are still true.
- Behavioral layer: Gradually change automatic reactions formed from wounds, such as withdrawing or always placing others' needs above your own.
Only when all three layers receive attention does healing truly deepen.
How to read about and practice healing healthily
Not all “healing” content is healthy. Some signs to watch for:
- Content promising “complete healing” after a course or product — this is a red flag.
- Content exploiting fear or linking your suffering to omens, fortune, or fate — keep your distance.
- Content requiring dependence on a “teacher” or system instead of empowering you.
Healthy healing always empower the practitioner, without creating dependency. It helps you understand yourself better, not fear yourself more.
At Inti Foundation, content and apps are built on this principle: reflection is a tool for self-understanding, not for judging or predicting destiny.
5-minute practice: Sit with an emotion
This practice requires no meditation experience or special preparation. Just 5 minutes and a willingness to listen within.
- Sit quietly. Turn off notifications. Place your hand on your chest or abdomen.
- Ask yourself: “What am I feeling right now?” — There is no need to answer correctly. Just let words appear: tired, empty, worried, sad, restless…
- Name that emotion and quietly say or write: “I am feeling [emotion name], and that is okay.”
- Then ask: “What does this emotion need from me?” — Rest? To be heard? To be released?
- Exhale Slowly and finish by telling yourself: “I am learning to care for myself.”
This is the foundation of healing: not erasing an emotion, but sitting with it long enough to understand what it wants to say.

Frequently asked questions
What does healing mean in the simplest sense?
Healing is the process of recognizing, accepting, and gradually transforming inner wounds — not erasing the past, but learning to live at peace with it.
Does healing require a psychologist?
It depends on severity. For severe wounds, psychological crises, or prolonged depression, a psychologist is essential and cannot be replaced. Apps and exercises only support reflection and everyday personal development.
How long does the healing journey take?
There is no fixed number. Healing unfolds in layers and is nonlinear — some stages move quickly, others seem to stand still. What matters is consistency, not speed.
Where can I begin healing if I know nothing about it?
How does healing differ from “positive thinking”?
They are fundamentally different. Positive thinking can become a way of denying uncomfortable emotions. Healing requires facing, naming, and processing those emotions — not covering them with superficial optimism.
